He is always being made fun of his friends for being a pansy and has never been classified as a man in his life. He normally surfs the internet a few times a day searching for anything from lolcats.com to failblog.com. He is always looking for things that will make him laugh.

His favorite hobby yoga on the beach. We were supposed to find a man smoking, a women with a red purse, a dead animal, an arrow, and a clear path. These things were relatively easy to find, but through the process of finding things, it made me realize a few things.

It was interesting the way that people reacted to us taking pictures of them. If you really think about it, what is the difference between being seen in public and then seen on the internet. Us being there and not going with the flow of all the people walking on the street set off in peoples minds some type of fear that we were doing something wrong.

I am guessing that this ties back into our animal instincts that when we are walking with a heard of people, as soon as something is out of the ordinary, it immediately catches out attention. It is weird to think about this in the context of San Francisco because of all the crazy homeless people that roam the streets and no one gives them a second look. Yet, when some students are walking around taking pictures of things, everybody gets tense.

You can related this back to user interface design in the fact that you can easily grab someones attention if you throw something out at them if they aren't expecting it and it doesn't go with the flow. Obviously you wouldn't want to throw something out there that is way out of normal; it just has to be subtle.

How to be a Mann - Proposal

With the abundance of websites in the world informing women how to be more feminine, more sexy, more stylish; there are a minimal amount of sites out there telling men how to be a man. Men need a source that they can go to that will inform them how to separate themselves from the sissy little boys that roam the world in large quantities. My site will transform and every day boy to a mann. That’s right, not just a man, but a full-fledged mann.

You might wonder what this would actually involve, and if it is even possible. I am here to tell you that it is definitely possible and it is really not hard. Many men out there have no idea how far they are away from being a mann. For example, you see all those commercials about “men’s” body wash. Well here is a news fact for you, men don’t use body wash. A simple bar of soap will clean a mann after a hard day’s work better than any body wash out there and won’t leave you smelling like a little pansy.

This revolution will start with the creation of my website. There are many parts of this website, some parts that will grow every single day, and others that will be updated every couple months. The more static element will be the quizzes that are on the site that allow for user certification. The more modular part will be a blog that certified users can post the most manly things that they can find on the internet. This could also involve manly quotes and stories.

Users have two options, they can create an account and strive for their title of manliness, or they can just browse the blog and look at funny and manly things. When a user creates an account, they have the option to take a series of quizzes. These quizzes have questions on them that test a person’s manliness. One exam question would be “What was the Bruce Willis’s most bad ass appearance in a movie?” Only a real mann would know the answer to that question.

Once a user completes a quiz will a predetermined percentage of the questions answered, they get manly points and a “scar” that relates to the category of the test that they passed. To the first hundred people that pass all of the tests, I will send them a free certified mann shirt.

This website could get many sponsors. I would have to think that if it became big, companies like Old Spice, Axe, and any other company that pushes guys to be more like men.

This website is obviously going to be a comical site that is meant to entertain people. Poking fun at home some men attempt to be manly has great potential in the world. I hope that you will allow me to work on this project for the next 4 weeks and turn it into an internet superstar.

3 Crazy Cool Sites

http://jacoboneal.com/

http://www.escohen.com/

http://www.middlebury.edu/#story189261
